Nominations open for the Prince Albert Women’s Hall of Fame

Feb 4, 2020 | 11:58 AM

Do you know an extraordinary woman in Prince Albert whose work or volunteerism directly benefitted the community?

The Prince Albert Council of Women (PACW) is hoping you’ll send in a nomination for the 2020 Women’s Hall of Fame.

“We ask people to look around and see what women around them are doing and perhaps there is one you feel is doing just a little bit extra that deserves recognition,” Rose Rothenburger, treasurer of the Prince Albert Council of Women told paNOW. “There are so many deserving women that are doing a lot of good things in Prince Albert and let’s just take a moment to nominate them and they might be this year’s inductee.”

Once applications are filled out, they will be looked over by a committee which will then choose the 2020 winner.

To nominate a woman, Rothenburger encouraged people to send her an email at rose.r@sasktel.net or message the (PACW)’s Facebook page.

“It’s a really short form. Basically all we are asking is for the name, address of the nominee, contact information and a description of their achievements and accomplishments,” she said.

Past winners are displayed on the second floor at city hall.

This year’s inductee will be honoured with a ceremony in March.
