Prince Albert well-represented at the Saskatchewan Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Championships

It was an impressive weekend for Prince Albert Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Two local clubs travelled to Moose Jaw for a one-day tournament hosted by Control Jiu Jitsu Moose Jaw.

Collectively as a team, LDP Martial Arts placed fourth overall by collecting 10 gold, seven silver and two bronze medals.

Complete Martial Arts

Four members of Complete Martial Arts attended the event.

Landon Mudjar is now two-division provincial champion. Mudjar placed first in the 13 to 14-year-old category in the Boys Gi and No Gi Green-Belt Divisions (heavyweight).

Isaiah Parent collected bronze medals in the 11 to 12-year-old Boys Gi and No Gi Yellow-Belt Divisions (lightweight).

Dominic Parent placed fifth in the nine to 10-year-old for boys gi, Yellow-Belt Division (featherweight) and forth in boys no gi Yellow-Belt Division (featherweight).

Lastly, Kris MacNeil took home a second place in the men’s, 18-plus No Gi White-Belt Division (heavyweight) and third in the men’s, 18-plus Gi White-Belt Division (heavyweight).
