The Prince Albert Mintos beat the Swift Current Legionnaires 4-3 in a shootout on Saturday, before a 5-1 loss to the Notre Dame Hounds.

The Mintos were trailing Saturday’s game late but Turner McMillen scored literally in the final second to force overtime. Josh Peppler and Dawson Springer both scored for the Mintos in the shootout. Chase Bertholet and Gage Helm also scored for the Mintos in regulation.

Kody Willick had the lone goal for the Mintos on Sunday. Jhett Larson had a hat trick for the Hounds.

The Mintos will head to Saskatoon on Saturday to take on the Contacts, before returning home at the Art Hauser Centre to take on the Battlefords Stars.
