Local RM receiving grants from SGI to improve safety
The Rural Municipality of St. Louis is getting some support from Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI).
The RM south of the City of Prince Albert is getting over $7,000 from the Crown-owned corporation to install speed bumps and signage in problem areas. The money is coming from traffic safety grants.
Emile Boutin, the reeve for the RM of St. Louis said they have been hearing complaints from residents about speeders in some areas.
“One major concern is in Bellevue, right close to the school, so hopefully that can remind motorists that they should be slowing down,” he said.
