When he arrived at the scene, it appeared a black car had hit the hydrant on 4th St. E., launching a tall jet of water into the air.

The Prince Albert Fire Department confirmed they responded to a call about a hydrant being hit in the early hours of Saturday morning, but were unable to provide additional details at this time.

By Saturday afternoon, the hydrant had been removed and aside from some icy sidewalks, paNOW observed no damage or disruption to the street.

This story will be updated as more information is available.
