Prince Albert’s only downtown post office set for closure
A big change is coming this year for Prince Albert residents who rely on the Canada Post location at the Central Ave. Pharmasave downtown.
As of 12 p.m. Jan. 17, the post office will cease operations. Richard Meyers, director of retail operations for Rubicon Pharmacies, told paNOW it was simply a business decision.
“We look at all aspects of our operations and their long term viability aspects of the business and we just had to make a decision with the post office,” he explained.
Meyers said the closure will not result in job losses, rather one existing employee will be transferred to Rubicon’s other location in the city at Crescent Heights Pharmacy.
