Paramedics respond to vehicle versus train collision

Parkland Ambulance responded to a vehicle versus train collision Saturday evening.

According to a media release, at 8:50 p.m. paramedics rushed to the incident just east of the junction on Highway 2 and the Wahpeton turnoff.

The crew attended to two individuals with injuries. A 27-year-old-female and a 34-year-old male were both transported to hospital in good and stable condition.

No further details were provided.

Editor’s note: this story was amended Monday to reflect a correction offered by Parkland Ambulance to their original report. The incident happened east of the junction not to the west.
