City adds extra holiday waste collection dates

The holidays are a season of food, family and festivities, but after all the food is eaten and the gifts are unwrapped, it can also be a season of extra waste.

To help with the post-Christmas cleanup the City of Prince Albert has scheduled extra recycling and garbage collection dates for later in the week.

Area 1: Recycle pickup, Dec. 27
Area 2: Garbage pickup, Dec. 30
Area 3: Recycle pickup, Dec. 28
Area 4: Garbage pickup, Dec. 26

“The additional dates do not appear on the waste collection calendars that were delivered door-to-door last year,” said sanitation manager Nasir Ghani in a media release. “We are asking residents to mark on their paper calendars the additional dates.”
