“I love this job”: P.A. man proud to wear red suit

Collecting Christmas wishes from children around the world is a big job, even for Santa, and requires a little extra help.

Prince Albert’s Garry Hagen stepped in as the jolly old elf at the Gateway Mall this year. The job entails posing for pictures, as well as asking what each boy and girl wants for Christmas.

“They bless my heart and the smiles on their faces are just unreal. I love this job,” Hagen said.

Hagen revealed to paNOW trucks and teddy bears were popular requests but the most popular requests by far were LOL dolls.

” I wish I would have bought into that company,” he joked.

Considering there are hundreds of young children who sit on his knee as part of the job, one might assume there would be the odd strange request for Santa. Hagen confessed there wasn’t this year.

“One kid said he wants everything,” he said laughing.

Santa’s journey can once again be tracked through the NORAD website. The link can be found here.
