Prince Albert’s Kelly Parent is bringing home a bronze medal from the World Jiu-Jitsu No- Gi Championship.

The event was held over the weekend in Long Beach, California.

Parent, who trains at Complete Martial Arts, told paNOW the competition was fierce in his division, all high level brown belts. In his final match, he competed against a three-time world brown belt champion, who went on to win the gold.

“This is great cause it shows that even though I come from small town Prince Albert, our jiu-jitsu here is world class,” he said.
