RCMP seeking assistance in locating missing woman

UPDATE: As of 3:14 p.m., RCMP said Schindler had been located safe.

The Shellbrook RCMP are seeking public assistance in finding a 52-year-old woman from B.C.

According to a media release from Shellbrook RCMP, Debbie Schindler was last seen when she left her residence in Pierceland, Sask. Sometime between 7 – 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10.

She was last in contact with a family member over the phone at 10:30 a.m. that day to say she was still in Shellbrook but heading to Pelican Narrows. The Pelican Narrows RCMP reported they had visited her intended destination but she didn’t arrive.

Schindler is described as having brown and blonde hair, green eyes, 180 lbs, and 5’ 1” tall. The police are concerned and are continuing to look for her. Many RCMP detachments have been contacted including Nipawin, Smeaton, Shellbrook, Prince Albert, Waskesiu Lake, Pelican Narrows and La Ronge.

She drives a red 2007 Ford Edge with B.C. license plate DR642P.
