Mintos split their two-game southern trip

The Prince Albert Mintos split their weekend trip down south.

They fell 4-0 to the Regina Pat Canadians on Saturday, before a 3-2 win over the Yorkton Maulers on Sunday.

Down 2-1 in the second period on Sunday, Mintos defenceman Zane Florence scored his first Midget AAA goal and added an assist on Chase Pauls’ game winner. Dawson Springer also had a goal and an assist in Yorkton.

The Mintos are now 13-8 and are currently sitting in fourth place. They’re off until Dec. 1 when they take on the Regina Pat Canadians at 1:30 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre.
