The St. Mary Marauders only lost two sets in all the seven matches they played at the 5A Boys Volleyball Provincials this weekend in Regina. Unfortunately, both of those came in the finals as they fell in straight sets to Meadow Lake Carpenter Spartans—25-21, 25-18 on Saturday night.

The Marauders won in straight sets in the other six games they played, including both of their playoff match ups, beating Regina LeBoldus and Swift Current in two sets each.

On the 5A Girls Provincials side, the Carlton Crusaders finished in fourth place. They beat Balgonie Greenall 2-1 in the quarterfinals, before a narrow 2-1 defeat to Saskatoon Bishop Mahoney. The Crusaders then lost in the bronze medal match to North Battleford 2-0.
