A break and enter, a gas station robbery, vehicle theft and traffic stops were some of the highlights for members of the Prince Albert Police Service this weekend.

Of the 286 calls for service between Friday and Monday morning, most were for disturbances and intoxicated people.

Late Sunday night, officers responded to the Shell gas station convenience store on 15th Street East for an armed robbery report. The incident occurred just before 11 p.m., with a man allegedly carrying a knife and a man reportedly with a handgun. Cigarettes, lottery tickets and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken. Police continue to investigate.

Police are also looking for an identifying information on this suspect wanted in connection to Sunday night’s robbery. (submitted photo/PAPS)

In an unrelated file, officers responded to a break and enter report Saturday morning on the 1000 block of First Ave. NW around 3:40 a.m. Two men were reported to be inside a compound at the business. Police Service Dog Febee was deployed and located one of the men. The second man was also arrested. Both were scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.

Also Saturday, officers responded to a stolen vehicle that happened at 1:25 a.m. when a restaurant delivery worker was approached by a man wearing a mask who took his vehicle. Thirty-one-year-old Lance Bear was arrested. He was charged with robbery, possession of a controlled substance and breach of court order.

To kick off the weekend, officers with Combined Traffic Services Saskatchewan seized several drugs following a traffic stop on Friday afternoon. Near 21st Street and Second Avenue West around 2:45 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle for speeding. After investigating, police located methamphetamine, pills and Psilocybin inside the vehicle. A 26-year-old man is facing charges of possession of a controlled substance and breach of court orders.
