Titans sweep the Rage

The Prince Albert Titans picked up a pair of wins over the West Central Rage in a two-game set this weekend at the Kinsmen Arena.

The Titans beat the Rage 5-3 on Friday and 4-1 on Saturday. With the wins, the Titans leapfrogged over the Rage in the Prairie Junior Hockey League standings and now have eight points with their 3-9-2 record. That’s one more point than the Rage (3-10-1).

Jakob Tournier scored a pair of goals in the Titans’ win on Saturday. Tanner Hendriks had a goal and two helpers. Captain Jake Koroluk helped out with three assists. Carson Schewaga made 32 saves on 33 shots.

On Friday’s game, it was Thien Gamble that led the way with a pair of goals. Talon Thomas chipped in with a goal and an assist. Travis Dryka made 28 saves on 31 shots.

The Titans play their next two games on the road, taking on the Saskatoon Royals on Friday and the Delisle Chiefs on Sunday. The Titans will return home on Nov. 20 to play the Royals at 7:30 p.m.
