Strengthening Communications in Non-Profits Workshop

The City of Prince Albert (Culture Plan) and the Lakeland District for Sport, Culture & Recreation are pleased to present an upcoming free workshop:

Strengthening Communications in Non-Profits, With your limited time in mind! with Carolyn Carleton will be held on Friday November 22 at the Prince Albert Arts Centre

This workshop will help bring focus to the communication goals for your organization.

Discover how your organization can make the most efficient use of your communication tools and your time and will cover:

  • What is your message – who is your audience?
  • Learn how to set communications goals (website, email marketing, media relations)
  • Discover current trends and issues related to social media
  • Create consistency
  • Learn how to take advantage of your non-profit status with integrity
  • Make a plan

The basic workshop (Part 1) will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and has a maximum of 30 participants.

A second, afternoon session will be a hands-on workshop implementing what was taught in the morning session. Develop a plan, set goals, go deeper into understanding social media and search engine optimization.

The Hands On Workshop (Part 2) will be from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. and has a maximum of 10 participants.

About the Instructor:

Carolyn Carleton has been involved in the business industry for over 25 years in different capacities – as an entrepreneur, to an internationally recognized artisan Living Skies Fibre Studio and a National award winning author. ​With an education in Marketing & Communications, Carolyn has traveled Nationally speaking on branding, creative writing, business coaching and wellness. Carolyn is currently the Executive Director for the Prince Albert Downtown Business Improvement District.
