Tanner Hendriks scores hat trick, leading Titans to their first win of the year

Prince Albert’s Tanner Hendriks scored a hat trick, and four-point night to lead the Prince Albert Titans to their first PJHL win of the season, an 8-3 victory over the Regina Silver Foxes Sunday at the Kinsmen Arena.

That marks Hendriks’ second time of his career that he scored at least three goals in a game. He had four against the Saskatoon Royals on Feb. 14, 2018 as a call-up.

Dillan Saworski and Braeden Mishak both had a pair of goals in the victory. Ben Zoltok had the other goal.

The Titans had a 5-0 lead after the first period, and a 25-9 lead in the shot department.

With the win, the Titans now have a three-game point streak, after a pair of consecutive overtime losses to the 6-0 undefeated Delisle Chiefs, 3-2 on Oct. 19 and a 5-4 overtime loss to the Saskatoon Westleys.

The Titans are now 1-0 since they received their new jerseys, featuring a new sponsorship from Dean Pellegrini and Leon’s Furniture Prince Albert.

The Titans will take on the Quakers on Oct. 23 at the Kinsmen Arena for their next game.
