Oct 9, 2019 | 5:00 PM

One of two men who allegedly was involved in an incident at a Prince Albert long-term care home, in which staff and residents were threatened, will remain behind bars.

Ramsay Courtney Halkett was denied bail Wednesday afternoon. The hearing was held at Prince Albert Provincial Court and the matter was adjourned to Oct. 23rd for election and plea.

Halkett and co-accused Ralph Henderson were charged on Sept. 29th with uttering threats at Herb Bassett home. A witness told paNOW, two men had come to the care home around 7:30 a.m. and had threatened to kill everyone inside. One of the men was seen waving a large knife.

The evidence presented at the bail hearing, and the reason for the judge’s decision, cannot be published due to a publication ban. Henderson has been scheduled to have his bail hearing Thursday morning.
