The 2019 winners of the Golden Spade Awards were announced today.

According to a media release from the City of Prince Albert, the third annual City of Prince Albert Landscape Promotion Program’s Golden Spade Award winners are Morris Sadlowski and Pat and Bud Wasylyshyn.

Everyone who was nominated received a letter from Mayor Greg Dionne thanking them for their hard work and a golden spade key chain.

Residents of P.A. were able to nominate anyone who lives within city limits and takes good care of their yard.

The three finalists were selected as the grand prize winners and will receive a $100 gift certificate.

In the media release, Dionne wanted to congratulate the three award winners.

“There are countless hours that go into making a yard beautiful,” Dionne said. “This program is just a small way to recognize those efforts and say thank you.”

Anyone who wishes to nominate their neighbour will be able to do so again next summer.
