What’s happening this week in P.A. sports

It’s another busy sports week in Prince Albert. Here’s what’s happening…

Thursday

The Carlton Crusaders senior football team hosts E.D. Feehan at 6:30 p.m. at Max Clunie Field.

The Prince Albert Mintos play their only game of the week on the road in Saskatoon against the Contacts. The Mintos are currently 4-0 to start the season.

Friday

The Raiders will take on their biggest rivals, the Saskatoon Blades, for the third time this season, 7 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre. The Raiders took three of a possible four points against the Blades in the home-and-home series on opening weekend.

The St. Mary Marauders football team will have a big test when they head to Saskatoon to play the undefeated Holy Cross Crusaders. Next week, the Marauders will face the Carlton Crusaders at the Canadian Tire Classic on Oct. 10.

Saturday

The Bears will play their first of two weekend games against the Weyburn Gold Wings, 1 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre. The Bears beat the Saskatoon Stars 4-3 in overtime in their season opening last Sunday.

The Raiders will take on another divisional opponent in the Regina Pats, 7 p.m. at the Art Hauser Centre. The Raiders beat the Pats 5-2 in their lone meeting this season on Sept. 27.

The Prince Albert Titans play in their third PJHL game, taking on Fort Knox at the Kinsmen Arena at 7:30 p.m.

Sunday

The Bears will wrap up their weekend series against the Weyburn Gold Wings.

The Titans will play the Saskatoon Westleys in PJHL action at 2:30 p.m. at the Kinsmen Arena.
