Two vehicle crash near Birch Hills highlights busy weekend for Parkland Ambulance

Two people were sent to hospital early Saturday morning, following a crash near Birch Hills.

According to the Birch Hills Fire and Rescue Facebook page, the Jaws of Life were used to remove one person from a vehicle after the two vehicle crash.

A 29-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman were transported to hospital in Prince Albert in good and stable condition. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

Overall it was a busy weekend for Parkland Ambulance, with members responding to a number of crashes in and around the city. Just before 3 p.m. Saturday, paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision 15 km north of the city on Highway 2 North.

A 47-year-old woman was be transported to hospital in good and stable condition.

Early Sunday afternoon there was a motor bike incident at the Christopher Lake turnoff. Paramedics took a 34-year-old woman to hospital in good and stable condition.
