Suspect arrested after man shot

One suspect is in custody after patrol officers responded to a man suffering from a gunshot wound early this morning.
Around 3:30 a.m. officers located the gunshot victim on the 1600 block of Muir Drive. Paramedics transported the man to Victoria Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Further investigation led to the suspect’s arrest where police also recovered a firearm.
Twenty-year-old Konnor Mercredi is facing several charges including possession of a dangerous weapon, careless use of a firearm, possession of a loaded firearm, break and enter, assault with a weapon, and breach of a court order.
