Summit Run raises $16,000 for hospice
Money raised during the Summit Run in June was presented to the Rose Garden Hospice Association on Thursday.
The race brought in $16,000 with just under 500 participants running 2 km, 5 km, 10 km and half marathon distances.
“It was fantastic, it was great to be able to help out a worthwhile cause,” run organizer Lisa Evans told paNOW.
This year marked the 15th Summit Run. Every year the profits are donated to a local charity. The race previously raised money for the Rotary Trail, but having seen that project to completion, the organizing committee saw the hospice as a natural choice.
