Marauders girls get to volleyball tournament

The St. Mary Marauders senior girls volleyball team got all the way to the third set of the invitational tournament at Carlton over the weekend, but couldn’t take home the gold medal.
The Marauders fell in three sets to the St. Joseph Guardians in the finals. The Guardians took the first set 25-20, before the Marauders equalized with a 25-19 win in the second set. The Guardians took a 7-0 lead to start the third and final set, before holding on to win 15-8.
The Guardians also defeated the Carlton Crusaders 1 squad in three sets in the semifinals.
