Skateboards and scooters donated to West Flat schools
Students at Westview, St. Michael and Queen Mary schools in Prince Albert have received a nice gift from Canadian Tire.
Each school is getting 50 skate boards and 25 scooters. Former West flat resident Donny Parenteau told paNOW he was approached by Canadian Tire Owner Malcolm Jenkins on ways to best help kids in the city’s west flat area.
“West Flat is very deep in my heart and it’s just good to see under privileged kids get a chance to use something and do something that we use to use so freely when we were kids,” he said.
Ward one councillor Charlene Miller also helped with the donation idea. Westview Principal Cheryl Arcand says the donation will be greatly appreciated by the students and parents when school resumes next week.
