Ermine faces raft of charges after fleeing arrest

Jade Ermine was remanded in custody after the full list of charges was heard in P.A. Provincial Court Friday. His next court appearance is set for Sept.4.

After an increased police presence and public arrest of a man wanted on multiple warrants, he is now facing a laundry list of charges.

Jade Ermine made his first appearance in court this morning and was remanded in custody. He is scheduled to appear again tomorrow.

Ermine is charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000, possession of break-in tools, mischief over $5,000, resisting arrest, assault with intent to resist arrest, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm, assault with a weapon on a peace officer, aggravated assault on a peace officer, failing to remain at the scene, and flight from police causing bodily harm.

Ermine was arrested Wednesday morning while running from police. He climbed on top of the Gateway Mall before jumping from the building’s roof onto a tree.

The suspect is accused of a series of assaults and thefts in the Prince Albert area. Most recently he was identified as a suspect in connection to a theft from a Blaine Lake area property.
