Aug 22, 2019 | 9:04 AM

Highway 3 is open again, according to a media release from Prince Albert RCMP.

A crash on Highway 3 heading out towards the Shellbrook highway just west of Prince Albert has closed the roadway.

P.A. RCMP said it happened 1.6 kilometres west of the city.

They could not offer immediate details but motorists were advised to re-route to the old Shellbrook Highway.

Parkland Ambulance said around 7:40 a.m., the collision caused injury to a 74-year-old man and 37-year-old man who were taken to hospital.

The younger man is reported to be in serious but stable condition, while the older man was reported in good and stable condition.

RCMP said around 10 a.m. they expected the roadway to be closed for three to four hours. Drivers are asked to reduce their speeds and follow all signs and directions.

We heard from one motorist earlier that traffic was being re-routed off the highway.
