Ledoux homicide case proceeds to trial

Aug 20, 2019 | 5:00 PM

Trial dates have now been set for two people, who were charged in connection to a Prince Albert homicide case dating back two years.

Based on the outcome of a pre-trial conference earlier this month, Boden Umpherville and William Chaboyer, have been scheduled to be tried by jury at Prince Albert Court of Queen’s Bench next April.

There were originally four people arrested in the death of Duane Brett Ledoux. His remains were found at a residence in the 800 block of 17th St. W. on Aug. 17,. 2017.

Marissa Bird has been scheduled to face trial in June next year at Prince Albert Court of Queen’s Bench. Lenny Daniels has been scheduled to make his next appearance at Prince Albert Provincial Court Sept. 5.

Editor’s note: This story has been altered from a previous story which said the charges against Bird had been stayed. While the charges against her were stayed at Provincial Court, the matter was moved to Queen’s Bench.
