Late triple-play drama going on at FSIN Adult Fastball tournament

The Senior Ladies club from the George Gordon First Nation can say they won the FSIN Adult Fastball Championship on a triple play.

Sunday afternoon at Prime Ministers’ Park, they held a narrow 3-2 lead over Cote in the top of the seventh inning. Cote had runners on first and second with nobody out, but lost the game on the next crack of the bat. It was a line drive right to the short, who tagged the runner at second and threw over to first to complete the rare feat and earn their team the $3,500 top prize.
