The parking lot at the Northern Lights Casino will play host to hundreds of cars Saturday.

The 21st Annual Northern Lights Casino Car Show will be going from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sheldon Novak, who is organizing the event on behalf of the Klassic Kruzers Kar Klub of Prince Albert said the show this weekend is one car enthusiasts will not want to miss.

“This is the main event for car shows in Prince Albert, so if you’re going to take in anything this year, this is the one to come to,” he said.

Organizers are expecting over 300 cars to show up. Novak added they have gotten calls from people out of province who are expected to bring vehicles. Novak said in the past they’ve had cars from a wide number of eras show up.

“We get everything from the 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, we get imports, we get rat rods, so we get customs, we pretty well get everything,” he said.

Besides the classic vehicles, Novak said they have Boss Blue, a blown tractor from Saskatoon along with an altered dragster. There is, as well, a food booth and music entertainment from two bands, who will be playing into the night.

Novak added the weather should contribute to the event’s success.

“It looks like the weather’s going to be great,” he said.
