Elderly man violently assaulted, police searching for more information

Police are appealing to any person who may have witnessed a violent assault committed toward an elderly man Saturday afternoon.

Prince Albert Police members attended a location in the 600 block of 13^th Street West around 3:37 p.m. August 3 for an assault report.

An 87-year-old man was the victim of an aggravated assault and received life-threatening injuries. The man received medical attention, yet remains in hospital.

If anyone has any information or video surveillance in the area, they are urged to come forward. The number to call is 306-953-4222.

The investigation remains ongoing.
