A fashion and decor business once again made Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) across North America their focus on July 31.

In Prince Albert, Thirty-One Gift’s local consultants donated 125 gift-bag totes and cooked a meal for families staying at the Victoria Hospital Ronald McDonald Room.

Sales Director, Holly Elphinstone explained why it was important for them to take part.

“So many of the consultants (with Thirty-One Gifts) have been touched by the Ronald McDonald House or spent time there with their children in care,” Elphinstone explained.

Tammy Forrester is the CEO with RMHC Saskatchewan. Forrester told paNOW, the rooms with Ronald McDonald house are for families that need to travel for the medical care of their child.

“From all of us at the house and all the families we are just so grateful for Thirty-One Gifts contribution and their support,” she explained.

Forrester said the cooking of the meal on July 31, is very meaningful.

“That type of support is just amazing. When we feed the families and they end up with a nutritious meal provided to them and they haven’t had to think about creating a supper when they come home from the hospital,” she said. “It just takes a lot of stress of the families.”

Forrester added that Thirty-One Gifts is also actively raising funds during their campaign for RMHC.

Across North America Thirty-One Gifts consultants simultaneously served meals in 165 Ronald McDonald Houses.

Since 2013, $920,000 has been raised by Thirty-One Gifts for RMHC.
