P.A. Exhibition showcases heavy horse pulls

New to the Prince Albert Exhibition for 2019 were the heavy horse pulls. The event featured more than a dozen teams facing off.

Teams of two horses and their owners were pitted against each other to pull various weights, reaching more than 7,500 pounds.

Each team must pull the loaded sled in 14 foot increments, with various weight classes present.

Although intermittent rain on Saturday may have made the terrain more difficult, it didn’t stop spectators from filling the stands to come watch the event.
