The Birch Hills Golf Course is set to have a busy August.

The course will be hosting a number of fundraisers over the month to help raise money to replace their current clubhouse.

Jamie Tilford, clubhouse manager with Birch Hills Golf Course said their current building, which was donated to them, has seen better days.

“The one we have was an old building that was moved in and added on and it shifts every year,” she said.

Amongst the upcoming fundraisers are two steak nights scheduled for Aug. 16 and 18. On Aug. 23, the course has its Wine Dine and Nine, which is a ladies night of golf which includes a caddy auction. Tilford said there are still tickets available for the upcoming events.

Tilford said a new building would make things run much easier, especially for those working in the kitchen.

“It’ll be better laid out. Right now we have coolers and freezers that are kind of everywhere scattered and they’ll be just in the kitchen area as opposed to the public area,” she said.

The course has been looking to replace its current building for a number of years according to Tilford. She added they will need to raise $250,000 to cover the full cost of the new building. She added there has been good support from the local community for the fundraising efforts.
