Woman charged in death of man at East View Trailer Court

A 46-year-old woman made her first court appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court this morning charged in the death of a man at the East View Trailer court Sunday.

Lucinda Rose Smith has been charged in the manslaughter of Dennis Hyman, 64.

RCMP said they were called to a report of an unresponsive man in one of the residences.

When they arrived Hyman was dead.

Several specialist teams were called in including RCMP Major Crimes Unit North, Prince Albert General Investigation Services, and PA and Tisdale Forensic Identification Service.

A forensic autopsy is being conducted in Saskatoon today.

Smith appeared calm and relaxed during her brief court appearance during which she acknowledged the charge that had been made against her. There was no indication in court regarding the relationship between Smith and Hyman.

Smith has been remanded in custody and will be back in court Aug.12.
