West Hill house engulfed in flames, cause unknown

Jul 25, 2019 | 5:04 PM

The Prince Albert Fire Department is investigating a house fire in the city’s West Hill area.

Around 1 a.m. Thursday morning, firefighters were dispatched to the 900 block of 18th St. W. The small home was fully engulfed when the crew arrived, but they managed to quickly extinguish the flames.

The structure sustained significant damage. It’s unclear if anyone officially lived at the house, but one neighbour told paNOW there had been people in the house last night. She claimed she heard a loud “bang” and when she went outside to investigate, the house was on fire.

There have been no reports of any injuries.
