S2DIO hosts first Fit Crawl

Jul 20, 2019 | 10:41 AM

It was a morning of fun and fitness in Prince Albert, as The S2DIO held the city’s first fitness crawl – a fitness inspired take on the traditional pub crawl.

“We have six businesses involved in total and every business is locally owned,” Desiree Hesfon, owner of The S2DIO said.

“Trying to think of original ideas these days is pretty hard. I just thought we had so many awesome locally owned businesses, and such a good fitness community – it just hit me, why don’t we do a fit crawl.”

The event featured a spin class, a bootcamp with *FLY Wellness, a snack break at Supplement World, an intro to CrossFit with Pure Athletics, a yoga stretch and cooldown with PASH Yoga, and lunch provided by Dr. Javas.

Hefson added that 16 people were registered to take part in the day, but due to an overwhelming response from the community, The S2DIO is planning to host two fit crawls in 2020.

“We just want everyone in the community to get out a little more, and to support local businesses because it’s so important,” Hefson said.

“I just hope this peaks people’s interest to go out and check out some of the other locally owned businesses in the city.”
