Expect delays if you drive or live near Wyllie Crescent for the next seven weeks.

Crews began a sizable project Thursday morning to replace old cast-iron water mains with PVC pipe.

“We’ve experienced a lot of water main breaks over the past few years so it’s resulted in the necessity for us to replace the water mains,” Prince Albert’s Capital Projects Manager, Nykol Miller said.

She said work will be done in phases to help reduce the amount of time residents are restricted from parking and driving in specific areas in Wyllie Crescent.
