Hollywood casting call for Indigenous talent
If you’re a budding Indigenous actor in our region, here’s a chance for stardom.
Paramount Pictures is looking for a female lead and supporting male to play Native American high school students in an upcoming movie.
The casting call out of Alberta was shared on Facebook by Prince Albert’s Spark Theatre who have worked with local Indigenous talent in recent years.
“Within our community I know we have a wealth of very, very talented First Nations actors,” publicity coordinator Cara Stelmaschuk told paNOW. “This casting call came out for actors 17 to 25 years old, and having done shows recently with this group of talent (Rez Sisters in 2017 and Métis Mutt this year) we just wanted to put it out there for people to share.”
