Woman charged with attempted theft, assault with a weapon

A 26-year-old woman is scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court tomorrow after an incident at a business on 28^th Street East last night.

Police responded to the business after 8 p.m. for a report of an attempted shoplifting. Prince Albert Police say staff members were threatened with a knife after confronting a woman attempting to steal items from the store.

The woman fled, but was arrested early this morning when police attended a separate call at a different location.
