Outlaws wrap up regular season with big win

The Prince Albert Outlaws wrapped up their regular season in the senior rankings of the Prairie Gold Lacrosse League with a 14-7 victory over the Meewasin Valley Plainsmen in Saskatoon on Saturday.

Brendin Currie scored five of the Outlaws’ goals in the contest, while Brody Holizki had four goals and seven points, and Brennan Boruch had a hat trick and a helper.

The Outlaws finished the year with a 4-5-1 record and nine points, and were just one point out of the top four.

The Outlaws will advance to the Tier II round robin on June 22.

Preds wrap up first again in junior ranks

The Prince Albert Predators will head into the PGLL junior playoff ranks with their first ever undefeated record at 8-0-2.

They take top spot into the finals on June 22-23 at the Kinsmen Arena in Prince Albert. They’ll take on the winner of the Standing Buffalo Fighting Sioux and the Swift Current Wolverines, who have a semifinal match up on June 18.
