Carlton Crusaders win four medals at provincials

Members of the Carlton Crusaders track team are bringing home some hardware from the provincial track competition.

This weekend, athletes competed in Moose Jaw where two Crusaders took gold. Storm Zablocki brought home a gold in the 200-meter midget boys competition. Zablocki also finished fourth in 100 meters, but set a provincial record running 11.25 in the preliminary.

Emily Cole Johnson brought home a pair of medals in junior girl’s competition, including a gold in 100 meters and a silver in the 200 meters.

The Crusaders also saw a bronze won by Jonathan Rishchynski, who won the medal in midget boys’ pole vault.

Meanwhile four other Crusaders recorded top 10 finishes. They included Cole Shewchuk who was sixth in junior boys’ long jump and Tanner Soles who finished eighth in senior boys’ javelin. Also Dylan Sande was sixth in the boys’ 4×400 meter relay, while Hannah Walker got sixth in senior girls’ 800-meter and fifth 4×400 meter relay.
