Application window closing for Street Fair vendors

Prince Albert’s Downtown Business Improvement District has announced a registration and fee deadline for all prospective vendors at the 2019 Downtown Street Fair.

The application window will close Friday, May 31, at 4 p.m.

The event, taking place on June 15, is expected to attract thousands to the downtown area.

Carolyn Carleton, executive director with the PABID, hopes they can build momentum from last year’s success.

“They estimated last year, there were 18,000 people who came to street fair. That is people from our community, people who are visiting our community that are coming out,” Carleton said. “It’s an important event for the BID because it is downtown, but this is a community event.”

The Street Fair is the largest free community event in the city.

“Enjoy a day walking around downtown. Enjoying its history, culture, and the riverfront. There’s just so much going on down here,” Carleton said.

With all the foot traffic, Carleton pointed out it’s a great opportunity for small businesses, artists, food trucks and entertainers to become vendors and showcase themselves.

Carleton explained there will be some updates and changes this year, including, an expanded area where vendors can setup, more entertainment and even something for four-legged friends.

“We even have a dog station. Last year we noticed there were a lot of dogs coming. So we have Pet Planet coming and they are offering a spot for you to come and get a drink for your dog,” she told paNOW.
