The Prince Albert Roman Catholic School Division, former ambulance colleagues, and the wider community is mourning the loss of George Bolduc who passed away Friday.

He had been serving his 13th year as board chair.

The division’s Director of Education Lorel Trumier said Bolduc had an extraordinary record of elected public service having been a trustee for over 22 years.

“He was very active and highly regarded across the province, and influential not only through his work advocating for our school division but also for Catholic education in general,” Trumier told paNOW.

She said she’ll remember him for his pride and passion.

“George was extremely passionate at trying help our children, staff and our families in our school division,” she said. “He was very proud of the work that occurred here.”

Bolduc worked his way through the ranks of the ambulance service in Prince Albert before retiring in recent years as deputy chief.

“I’ll always remember his leadership style and his way of giving back to the community,” Lyle Karasiuk with Parkland Ambulance said, while adding he had great memories of the fun they had at the station.

“We had so many pranks that we pulled on each other over the years, and so many things that we’ve been to together. He supported not only me in my personal growth but all of our team.”

Bolduc will be remembered at a funeral service Friday 10 a.m. at St Joseph Catholic Church.
