Two men arrested after vehicle vs. pedestrian incident

Two men were arrested overnight after police received a call about a vehicle versus pedestrian incident on 28 Street West.

Around 9 p.m. Wednesday, officers located a 19-year-old woman suffering from a minor injury. Parkland Ambulance transported her to the hospital.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested for impaired driving. Police later located a machete, a hatchet and just over five grams of methamphetamine inside the vehicle.

A male passenger was also arrested.

A 22-year-old man is facing charges including impaired operation of a motor vehicle, impaired driving exceeding .08 and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.

A 23-year-old man was charged with possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, possession of methamphetamine and breach of court order.

Both are set to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
