Guns, ammunition seized in last night’s search

A man and woman are facing firearm charges after a search warrant was executed last night.

According to a media release from Prince Albert Police, the search took place after 8:30 p.m. at a residence in the 1900 block of 15 Street West.

Members of the Integrated Street Enforcement Team, Special Weapons and Tactics Team, the Canine Unit and patrol members assisted in the search. Officers seized two sawed off .22 caliber rifle — one of which was loaded. Other seizures included numerous rounds of ammunition and bear spray.

A 24-year-old man and a 20-year-old female from Prince Albert were arrested at the home. Both were charged with several firearms-related charges and breach of court order. They are scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court today.
