‘The NDP is here to stay:’ Outgoing Alberta government to serve as Opposition
EDMONTON — Some of Alberta’s NDP members say the party has changed the province for the better and believe it will be an effective Opposition.
On Tuesday, Albertans elected Jason Kenney and his United Conservative Party to a majority government after taking back many of the breakthrough NDP wins in the 2015 election.
Outgoing premier Rachel Notley said she would stay on as NDP leader.
