Apr 15, 2019 | 10:09 AM

Prince Albert P.O.W. Panthers is a 17U women’s volleyball club team.

Currently in its second year of operation. P.O.W. stands for the Power of Women. The goal for this team is to empower young women through the sport of volleyball.

If we empower our young women through sport, we give them confidence, with confidence comes success.

P.O.W. Panthers Volleyball Club will be representing Prince Albert and the following First Nations Communities; Lac LaRonge Indian Band, Little Red River Cree Nation, Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, Beardy’s and Okemasis First Nation, Red Earth Cree Nation and Muskeg Lake Cree Nation as we are travelling to Toronto for Nationals on May 8-11, 2019.

Together we are Treaty 6 strong.

Angus McLeod from Lac LaRonge Indian Band is the coach and trainer for these remarkable young women.

They have the utmost respect for him and he reciprocates it back.
