Raiders survive the Blades pushes and advance to the conference finals
SASKATOON—It was a war on the ice, a war of words, and even a war at times in the crowd. What else would you expect from a heated second round playoff series between the Prince Albert Raiders and the Saskatoon Blades?
But the Raiders will claim the spoils as they defeated the Blades in six games. Raiders’ pint-sized overager in Dante Hannoun had a hat trick to lift Prince Albert to a 6-3 victory Sunday at the SaskTel Centre to close out the series.
Hannoun caught fire at the end of the series. He scored six goals in the final three games, including two goals in Game 5 and the Raiders’ only goal in Game 4. Hannoun now leads the playoffs with nine goals and is tied for the league-lead with 14 points.
