Laval defensive lineman Mathieu Betts named top CFL draft prospect
TORONTO — Laval Rouge et Or defensive lineman Mathieu Betts has held onto the No. 1 spot in the CFL’s Scouting Bureau’s final rankings for the 2019 draft.
The Montreal native helped the Rouge et Or win the Vanier Cup last year. He became the first player in history to claim the J.P. Metras Trophy for top lineman in Canadian university football three times.
The top three positions in the rankings did not change.
